"It's exciting to be a part of this time in Mount Allison's history — to see our community coming together to provide students the best resources and learning spaces. This project will ensure Mount Allison’s extraordinary education and experience continues well into the future.†– Rachel Rubin, Dean, Libraries and Archives
Thank you for your interest in building learning and wellness spaces. Mount Allison has launched an historic project — to extensively renovate the R.P. Bell Library building and create a new Multi-Sport Complex. This project supports all aspects of student life and will have transformative impacts on future generations.
R.P. Bell Library Centre for Innovation and Learning
The renovation of the R.P. Bell Library building is the largest infrastructure project in Mount Allison’s modern history. The new building will include extensive renovations at every level, the transformation of the adjacent breezeway into a coffee and community space, and new welcoming and accessible entrances from both the quad and York street levels.
Although a built space, this project is above all about people. It will support students and bring together groups of thinkers, innovators, and the always curious. The building will become an even more integral and valued part of every student’s experience.
Visit the Centre for Innovation and Learning website for more project details and concept design photos.
Multi-Sport Complex
The Multi-Sport Complex will house facilities for a variety of sports and recreation activities including intramural and club sports, be utilized 12 months of the year, support all students, and provide a new venue for Mount Allison and community events.
This facility will begin its life as an interim library facility while the R.P. Bell Library building undergoes extensive renovations and will then be transformed into a permanent sports and recreation complex.
Putting Philanthropy into Action!
There are many opportunities for donors to get involved in the project to create the R.P. Bell Library Centre for Innovation and Learning and the Multi-Sport Complex. Our Development Team will work closely with you to discover a giving opportunity that aligns with your philanthropic goals.
