Mount Allison’s 2020-21 Holiday Hours

Mount Allison University’s holiday break is from end-of-business day Tuesday, December 22, 2020 to Sunday, January 3, 2021. All University offices will be closed during this time. Various services close earlier and open later, so please check the schedule below.

Regular office hours resume on Monday, January 4, 2021. All classes will begin online on Monday, January 18, 2021 with in-person, on-campus elements beginning Monday, January 25, 2021.

 

Holiday Hours of Operation

 

Residences and Housing Services

Residences closed for the end of the term on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at 5 p.m.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Mount Allison residences will re-open on January 8 and 9, 2021 for students who are required to self-isolate due to travel. Students needing to self-isolate in residence and off-campus in January must submit the self-isolation registration form to obtain a Letter of Acknowledgment for travel purposes by December 18.
Residence students from New Brunswick who are not required to self-isolate can re-enter residence on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2021. Residence students will receive any additional information and updates from housing via their MtA e-mail, please monitor this account regularly. 

 

Ralph Pickard Bell Library and Archives

Monday, Dec. 14 to Friday, Dec. 18: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 19, Sunday, Dec. 20: CLOSED
Monday, Dec. 21 and Tuesday, Dec. 22: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

The Library will re-open with regular hours on Monday, January 4, 2021. More information:

 

Alfred Whitehead Music Library (located in the Marjorie Young Bell Conservatory of Music)

The Music Library’s hours between Dec. 12 and 22, 2020 are by appointment only. More information can be found at:

 

Jennings Dining Hall

Reminder for the 2020-21 academic year, Jennings Dining Hall is open to Mount Allison residence students with meal plans only.

Jennings reopens on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2021 from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Dine & Dash will be open 8:30 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Note: Dining services will be available to students needing to stay in residence over the 2020-21 holiday season and during the January self-isolation period. The Housing Office will communicate with these students directly.

 

Gracie’s Café

Regular hours from Monday to Friday during exams. Last 2020 service is Friday, Dec. 11. Regular hours resume Monday, Jan. 25, 2021.

 

Athletic Centre and Fitness Centre (located in the Wallace McCain Student Centre)

Please see for the latest schedules and access requirements for the Athletics and Fitness Centres. Both facilities will be closed over the University’s holiday break.
